Data Collection and Usage

We only collect data provided via the contact form on the logged-in members’ page, which includes:

  • Name
  • Email Address

All personally-identifiable data is stored and processed in compliance with current UK data protection laws and GDPR. No data is transferred outside the UK, and is only made available to partner companies to fulfil legal and processing obligations, and to obtain advice from those partners. Partners include accountants and website developers.

Any content that is submitted by this form, or by email using the Contact Us option, becomes the intellectual property of the AHGTC, who reserve the right to publish it to the area of the website they deem most appropriate (News, Gallery or Members’ News), or not publish it at all. Any photos or other media will not be returned to the submitter in the event that the content is not published.

Content may be moved between the above sections or their related Archive sections as and when deemed fit by the AHGTC Webmaster. 

Media

If you provide images for inclusion in articles on this website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

You agree to grant the AHGTC free licence to use any and all media submitted to the AHGTC for inclusion on this website.

How long we retain your data

As a member of the AHGTC, you will be provided with a usernme and password to this site. Your personal details, including name, address, email address, partner’s name (if supplied) and contact telephone number(s) will be stored in the Members’ Directory and made available to other members for as long as you are a member of the AHGTC. It is your responsibility to ensure this information is correct and kept up to date. You can request changes at any time by contacting the AHGTC Webmaster at webmaster@ahgtc.org.uk.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
