A primary school in Middlesbrough are holding an event called 'No pens day Wednesday' on 7th October where the day will be devoted just to the art of communication.
School Principal Christine Kemp-Hall says "This will also be the launch day of our 'year of communication' and we'd like nothing better than a Town Crier to come along and launch our event and then talk to the children about the origins of the Crier and how they delivered messages to towns and villages etc. and how to project your voice.
